I'm proud to share that in October of last year, while representing Honduras, we joined 19 other countries in the first ever mass-sterilization clinic in all Latin America. Fundación Perros sin Nombre is also a leader in this initiative across Honduras, being recognized as the first organization to bring mass sterilization clinics to the country, with the help of veterinarians from the United States. Fundación Perros sin nombre is dedicated to fighting chronic overpopulation and the mistreatment of animals. Our clinics have been held yearly since 2018, almost doubling in the number of sterilizations of stray and low-income family animals each year (over 1,000 sterilizations to date). We are also focused on adoptions and overall health, having successfully facilitated approximately 300 adoptions and 100 necessary surgeries at no cost.
At the conclusion of 2022, we received a generous donation of 2 acres of land from a private entity. In 2023 we are focused on moving our 74 dogs and 26 cats, many of which are disabled, onto our new land, raising perimeter walls and creating a suitable environment for future fostering and growth.
We hope you will consider a donation to Fundación Perros sin Nombre.
