For the first time, the Prabodhini team conducted training for ASHA (Accredited Social Health Activists) workers. Accredited Social Health Activist (ASHA) is a trained female community health activist. Selected from the community itself and accountable to it, the ASHA are an interface between the community and the public health system. These social workers were constantly on duty during the lockdown to help people with medicine, food and other supplies. They often face violence in their daily work on the field. It is important that these women understand what constitutes violence and harassment and are able to protect themselves if something happens.
