Chetana gains confidence

Prabodhini self defence training
Prabodhini self defence training

Chetana ‘’My name is Chetana (name changed). I attended Prabodhini’s self defense training, which was taking place in Aryaloka computer Institute. I learned many things and very useful techniques for women in that training. Many times, I have faced different types of violence in society.

Once I was travelling on the bus. One boy suddenly caught my hand. I used techniques which I learned in the training. But he didn’t leave my hand. Then I loudly shouted at him and said: “you caught my hand, leave my hand!”. Everybody on the bus started to look at us. He did not expect this, so he was shocked. Then some people said, that they would call the police. And they asked him to get off the bus. He then just got off the bus and ran away. People on the bus praised me for what I had done.

In the training I learned, that if one technique doesn’t work, try another and try until you are out of danger. I tried and succeeded. That gave me more confidence.

Every girl and woman should get this training. Thank you.

If you donate up to 50$ between 18. till 22. September GlobalGiving will match your donation!
