Educate Girls in Zambia on Gender Equity

At Chance4All, we’re dedicated to creating lasting change by empowering children, families, and communities through education, health advocacy, leadership initiatives, and environmental sustainability. This report highlights the remarkable achievements and activities from January to April 2025, showcasing how collaboration and innovation drive our mission forward.

We are also thrilled to share an exciting milestone: Chance4All has officially received a national permit, enabling us to expand our workshops across Zambia. This development strengthens our ability to reach even more schools and students with essential education and resources, amplifying our impact nationwide. As we grow, we will need increased support from partners and supporters to ensure the success and sustainability of these expanded programs.

STARTING THE YEAR STRONG, with initiatives that set the tone for a transformative year:

• Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM) Training: Conducted with the Ministry of Education at Bauleni Special Needs School, this program equipped educators to confidently support girls' health while breaking down menstrual stigma. The Ministry applauded these efforts and chance4all is more than ever committed to expanding MHM programs across Zambia, building more inclusive school environments.
• Black Girls Rising (BGR) Youth Council: The council launched its first session, defining key responsibilities such as mentorship, outreach, and leadership development. This meeting empowered Chance4All's young Black girls to lead, inspire, and advocate for their communities.

ADVANCING MENSTRUAL HYGIENE SUPPORT 

At Chance4All, we believe no girl should miss out on education due to inadequate menstrual hygiene management. Our efforts continued with:

• Menstrual Hygiene Workshops: Focused on breaking stigma, teaching reusable pad production, and advocating for Menstrual Clubs—safe spaces for peer support and education. Students, including boys, engaged in bold discussions to foster inclusivity and mental health awareness.
• Sustainable Solutions: Emphasizing proper nutrition, clean WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) facilities, and reusable sanitary pads to ensure dignity and reduce absenteeism.

Together, these initiatives build confidence, inclusivity, and empowerment for girls, enabling them to succeed academically and personally.

EDUCATION AND STUDENT SUCCESS

• Scholarship Renewals: Our annual Parents Workshop reaffirmed the importance of parental involvement in education, celebrating stories of gratitude and collaboration. Families pledged active support for their children's growth.
• Exam Achievements: Students excelled across Grade levels, reflecting the impact of Chance4All's educational programs:
• Grade 12: Outstanding results, with many qualifying for higher education and vocational opportunities.
• Grade 9: Smooth transitions to competitive senior schools.
• Grade 7: Exceptional performance ensuring progression to junior secondary school.
• Term Preparation: Essential school supplies were distributed, empowering students to embrace the new term with confidence.

PROMOTING COMMUNITY AND SUSTAINABILITY

• Tree Planting Initiative: In collaboration with Trees for Zambia and other organizations, students planted trees at Bauleni Special Needs School while learning about climate action and reforestation. This hands-on activity cultivated environmental awareness and hope for a sustainable future.
• Community Clean-Up: Volunteers united to improve neighborhoods, demonstrating collective action and commitment to environmental care.

Through education, health initiatives, leadership development, and environmental advocacy, Chance4All is transforming lives and fostering a brighter future. As we scale our efforts, we invite partners and supporters to join us in making this vision a reality. We extend our gratitude to our partners and supporters who make these achievements possible.
