From the bottom of our hearts we would like to say thank you to all our donors who have so donated to single mothers. Our donation goal is not yet met; we know that you our donors have been affected by the ongoing Covid19 which am sure we will beat one day. Our next class project is intended to start on February 1 2021.
The need is too much for our mothers to get training, because this pandemic period made most of our mothers so poor that they didn’t even have what to eat. And when the lock down was eased the streets of Kampala our capital was filled with children begging and also those selling fruits, vegetables for a living, most of them where begging for food. Unfortunately they were as well exposing themselves to the virus. Mothers too try as much as possible to sell vegetables because we were encouraged by the doctors to be eaten to boost the immunity of the citizens so they risked their lives out there because all they wanted to get a dollar to help them buy food for survival. These are the kind of mothers that we are training and empowering, so that they can be able to work from their homes or in safer places. Our dear friends from Colorado were able to feed 30 single mothers last year during this covid19 period. Thank you friends
We are looking at skilling 12 single mothers this year. This time Sheebah's mother is one of the mothers who are registered for our next class. She is a mother of 4 children from three different fathers who have all abandoned her because of poverty. Janat owned a kiosk that was feeding her family and paying for children until 2 years back when it was broken by the city authorities that it was stationed in wrong place. Janat lost all , because they spoilt all her belongings. The family is been taken care of by one of her daughters of 17 years who works as a house maid for a rich person in neighborhood. The 39 year old Janat is one of the women who we want to skill so that she can be able to earn for a living.
