Funding for Blossom Cottage is underway. We originally planned to use this platform as our primary avenue but decided to try and raise most of our money through our website, www.shadeforchildren.org.
We appreciate the GlobalGiving community, but consolidating our fundraising, especially for this project, makes more sense for us at this time.
So far, we're raised about $12,000 for the project but our estimated expenses have risen from the original $13,000 to $16,000, thus the change in the amount we're seeking to $3000.
Winter weather in Western Ukraine is uglier than we anticipated. We had hoped to begin these infrastructure projects before groundbreaking in the Spring but it looks like all of it- digging wells, extending electricity, installing septic systems, even the fencing, will have to wait for better weather.
