200 households had an opportunity to switch from the use of candles and kerosene to solar pico light in an effort to transition them to clean lighting for their homes, small businesses, and communities. We are on a mission to get 6,000 households to smoothly transition to clean lighting and have just begun.
The majority of households in rural Eastern Province still struggle to light up their homes, the majority continue to use dirty sources of lighting such as kerosene and candles, and others even go to extremes to use grass just to see where they will sleep.
Through our project, we have embarked to get 6000 solar lanterns to 6000 households and your support and donations make this project a reality each day.
We are positive together we will achieve the goal and transition the 6000 households to clean lighting by 2023.
Thanks for your continued support and donation.
