Malita a grade 9 pupil in Chiwoko Village of Katete District used to study under a dim candle light.
When Kukula Solar visited his village, they gifted him a solar lantern to aid her in studying as he prepared for his Junior secondary examination.
In December 2023, the examination results were announced by the Minister of Education and Malita managed to score 496 points, giving her a clear pass to boarding school.
Malita says, that without the help of the solar lantern given to her by Kukula Solar, these results could have been just but a dream.
