After the long hiatus brought on by COVID-19, Roshni Homes Trust proudly joined the FUSE Family Festival at the Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) in Islamabad. This two-day event marked our first public fundraiser since the pandemic, offering a chance to reconnect with supporters and share the talents of the children we care for.
Our stall featured a collection of framed artwork created by the orphans during previous activities. These unique pieces were sold to raise funds for our cause. Volunteers contributed to the effort with a delightful bake sale of homemade treats, while one volunteer hosted a face-painting kiosk, adding creativity and joy to the festivities.
In addition to the event, 25 orphans traveled to Islamabad for a memorable day of exploration and fun. They began their journey at Lake View Park, where they enjoyed thrilling rides and a private tour of the aviary. At the FUSE event, the children were treated to jumping castles, magic shows, and an open-air cinema experience. Generous organizers and attendees extended their support by offering free rides and food, making the day even more special.
The children returned home exhausted yet overjoyed from a day filled with unforgettable moments. The event not only raised funds but also fostered community connections, highlighting the importance of supporting underprivileged children.
We are deeply grateful to the FUSE organizers, volunteers, and attendees who helped make this experience truly remarkable for the children and for Roshni Homes Trust.
