WAFA has been on a remarkable journey over the past decade, tirelessly working to identify and shed light on the “Silent Heroes” who are making a significant impact in addressing global WATER, AIR, FOOD challenges and providing visibility to their community projects internationally.

Clean air is a fundamental human right that impacts our health and well-being, and your support can help us ensure that everyone has access to fresh, pollution-free air. Your unwavering support has been invaluable in helping us shine a light on individuals and communities that are actively working towards solving the world's most pressing basic needs (water, air, food).

WAFA’s ACHIEVEMENTS during the last 3 months:

Robust Organizational Structure: WAFA has continued to work diligently to further strengthen its organizational framework. This has allowed us to streamline our operations, improve efficiency, and ensure that resources are allocated effectively for projects.
Social Media Presence: We have successfully established a dynamic social media team that is dedicated to amplifying our message and mission. Our active presence on various social media platforms has enabled us to reach a broader audience, engage with our supporters, and highlight the incredible work of “Silent Heroes”.You can see or follow us:

Social Media Strategies and Content: In addition to forming our social media team, we have developed comprehensive strategies and engaging content for all our social media platforms. This strategic approach has not only increased our online visibility but has also enabled us to connect with communities worldwide.
Website Rebranding: WAFA team is currently in the process of rebranding our website. This project aims to provide a more user-friendly experience, making it easier for our donors and supporters to learn about our initiatives, access information, and stay updated on our activities. This rebranding effort will enhance our online presence and further our mission of promoting sustainability https://www.wafaward.org/

UPCOMING INITIATIVES:

Award Processes: We are excited to share that we are in the planning mode for WAFA AWARDS 2024 and will kick start the award processes soon. These awards are at the heart of our mission, recognizing and celebrating the extraordinary contributions of individuals and communities in addressing basic needs challenges. Your support plays a pivotal role in making these awards possible and in providing well-deserved recognition to the "Silent Heroes" in our midst.

Your support has greatly contributed to the achievement of some of WAFA's main goals and plans. It is your continued support that sustains our mission and makes all the difference. Thank you for supporting WAFA winners!

Dear WAFA Donors and Supporters,

Air pollution is a global environmental challenge with severe consequences for human health and the ecosystem. The WAFA team wants to raise public awareness about this issue. The WAFA mission is to identify and promote outstanding sustainability entrepreneurs in the areas of water, air, and food worldwide. WAFA searches and finds ‘silent heroes’/sustainability pioneers worldwide, or they find us.

We will never be tired of saying "thank you" to our donors that are helping to carry out our mission. We appreciate your support with any of our projects to continue to shine a light on individuals and communities that solve the world's environmental problems.

The latest prestigious WAFA (Water, Air, Food) Awards was celebrated on June 15, 2023. In preparation, we evaluated about 200 award applicants from all over the world. The 12 finalists from the Philippines, Cambodia, Tanzania, Nigeria, UK, Kenya, India, Zambia and Cameroon were selected and four winners -one for each category- were announced. It is a great honor to share the winners and their project with you:

Water category winner is Alternative Indigenous Development Foundation, INC. Bacolod City, Philippines
Air category winner is Eco-Green Africa Sustainable City and Work Place (Recycling Program) Abuja, Nigeria
Food category winner is LAGOS FOOD BANK INITIATIVE, Family Farming Program in Nigeria
Youth category winner is Solar PV Powered Energy Efficient Jaggery Units for Energy-Economic Self Sufficiency of Farmers and Women Entrepreneurs in India

With your donations, we can select the winners, give them exposure, and promote them on social media. This helps them attract resources to expand and replicate their projects to other communities with similar challenges: access to clean water, clean air and nutritious food in a healthy climate. Together, we can create a healthier and more sustainable future for all.

A little help can make a big difference!

Dear WAFA Donors and Supporters,

There is no doubt that air pollution poses a health risk to humans. The WAFA team wants to raise public awareness about this issue. Currently, we have not received any donations for this project, but we hope to receive some in 2022. We appreciate your support with any of our projects. We will continue to shine the light on individuals and teams already solving the world's environmental problems TODAY.
Together, we are making our mission a reality! It is hard for WAFA to keep the same pace as Corona's time isn't over, but we are ready to share our 2021 achievements with you, our donors.

Awards - prepared an impact report of past award winners and received 60 applications.

We always look for creative people, so we hired more Volunteers this year:
- Onboarded a co-CEO
- Established a Program Office and management plan
- Streamlined the award selection process
- On-boarded: a new Board Director, Co-CEO, Research & Applications team, R&A mentor, three marketing interns, Crowdfunding assistant, PR professional and a Video editor.

Communication:
- Produced a branding video, "Silent Heroes". Please, find it attached to this report.
- Commenced implementing our new brand
- Articles publicised in Asian and European media
- PeaceCast.tv featuring WAFA videos worldwide on UN Peace Day.

Fundraising results 2021:
- Raised about $12,000
- Submitted funding applications
- Strengthened WAFA's crowdfunding efforts
- Structured and strengthened our outreach to the corporate world
- Raised WAFA presence on social media
- improved the functionality of our website
- Implemented a mailing system.

Furthermore, WAFA expanded its stakeholder relations portfolio to include Danish Technical University (DTU), 11 multinational corporations, a Danish pension fund, a climate think tank, and a German family office.

The purpose of WAFA is to help previously unsung "silent heroes" replicate their solutions and collaborate with governments and communities to combat air pollution and provide clean air for everyone. And together with you, we can help them faster.
