10 Insights from the Convention... (+ July 10 opportunity!)

I'm freshly back from the Braver Angels Convention and am excited to share 10 highlights with you!

Stories Change Power was among the 750 people who came together from across the United States with a goal of depolarizing U.S. politics. As you know, in 2024 that's no small task. Stories Change Power's approach to advocacy communication, which seeks to bridge racial, economic, rural/urban and other divides, contributes to a greater movement to support civic renewal.

Your support makes it possible for us to share this bridge-building approach with people and organizations who wouldn't otherwise have the funds to participate. One way we do this in through small-by-design learning communities, like the one we're hosting in Washington, DC next week! We look forward to sharing more about this dedicated and diverse group of advocates in future updates.

For now, it's important to share with you that 50% of participants needed at least a partial scholarship in order to join us. This Wednesday, July 10, we could add up to $2,000 in matching funds to our scholarship account- but we need your help.

Starting at 9 am ET, GlobalGiving will match donations between $100 and $1,000. We understand the matching funds will go fast.

If you can help us maximize the matching funds, please mark your calendar to donate at 9 am ET on Wednesday - or email me at piper@storieschangepower.org to receive an invite to pop up on your calendar.

THANK YOU! You make it possible for us to support people even when organizations don't have funds for professional development.

I welcome your questions anytime, including about the Convention in Kenosha, and look forward to sharing more in the weeks ahead!
