An estimated 11.06 Million(50% women) are in need of humanitarian assistance in Northwest Syria. IDPs& Refugees women headed households are heavily reliant on their small-businesses.Due to economic deterioration and Covid-19 spread, their projects affected negatively. Because of war, they are now the sole providers for their families such Fatema. Through E-digital platform, online training and technical advice& small grants.We will ensure 200 vulnerable entrepreneur women improve their products.
Out of 500,000 women in NW Syria, 81% of female-headed households projects affected negatively during Covid-19 and the economic circumstances. The entrepreneurs report clarified that women refugees reached 1,665,580 while 33% has their own business in Turkey. Rapid Migrant Vulnerability Assessment showed that 82% of them had lost work and income due to COVID-19. Fatema explained that women suffer many aspects such displacement movement, lack of financial, Lack of experience in access the market.
The solution is based on economic support & entrepreneurship education & technical consultations for women entrepreneurs, that consist of free online workshops to improve their self-esteem - since they live in an environment which teaches them, they are NOT capable of earning their own income - and then training them how to sell their products and reach the labor market through E-marketing platform. Then the platform will allow them to market their products and reach the suppliers with customers
The series of workshops, training and technical advice will be produced and uploaded through E-marketing platform. The consultations and technical supporting will be provided through several stages and by the end, enable the women to become self-sufficient, not just to be able to make their own income, but also in order to make decisions and to think critically within their difficult environment and in their role as house-headed women.
