Support Bilingual Musical Theatre in Paris

Good Morning!

Warm greetings from Paris! We have been very encouraged by your support in creating a physical home for AMT Live. Thanks to your contributions, we have made progress on our “professional tennant” dossier for a space we have our aspirations set on. It's in the center of town just across from Ile de la Cité. This space would include a welcome area for local residents and artists to gather and create, daytime rehearsal rooms and classroom space, and a small cabaret area to support local artists and live performances. Our next site visit will be at the end of the month with members of our direction team, and we’ll keep you posted on any forthcoming news!

We would also like to tell you a bit about one of our members, Sandra. Here is part of her story,

“I have been a member of AMT for 3 years, and last year I was lucky enough to receive a partial tuition scholarship for the Artist's Way Creativity course with Andrea Offner.  This course was an unbelievable experience; it really helped to open my heart and my mind, and to explore every aspect of my creativity. It was truly liberating, and Andrea's guidance was amazingly intuitive and inspiring. As a member of AMT, I participate regularly in courses, events, workshops, and performances, and it is a wonderful, supportive community to belong to. It's amazing to be able to share with other talented performers, to learn from each other and grow together.”

How have your contributions been put to work so far?

• They have allowed us to provide scholarships for the recent Musical Theatre Master class with Broadway teaching artist Adam Kantor.
• We have continued our community outreach with our January Open Mic, sharing music at Péniche le Marcounet - a concert boat along the river Seine. Over 20 international artists performed on the theme of Love & Hate to a packed, friendly crowd.
• We have been able to provide reduced rates on our next 9-week, bilingual masterclass series and showcase taught by resident artists Miranda Crispin and Adam Alexander. Thanks to your support, we will be able to offer free tickets to local students who wish to attend this spring performance.
• In further good news, our original, bilingual musical, CROSSROADS/La Croisée des chemins, has been selected to be featured at the upcoming Paris Fringe Festival this May! Stay tuned for performance dates and more news.
