AMT Live! is Feeling the Sizzle of Summer
As our 2016/17 season comes to a close, AMT Live team would like to wish you a wonderful summer. We have been busy working on our next season and wanted to let you know what is coming up!
Thanks to the dedicated work of our members and staff, and to supporters like you, this fall we will celebrate our fifth anniversary - stay tuned for details and invitations to toast the occasion with us in Paris. We are planning a gala event with performances from the past five years and behind-the-scenes videos for our members, collaborating artists, community partners, and benefactors.
More details on our upcoming season will be appearing throughout the summer on our website, and the line-up include our Broadway Chez Nous concert series, the return of our monthly open mic soirée along the Seine, and a new series of our Studio training classes, for starters.
Plans for creating the first Franco-American Musical Theater Center are still in the works as we continue to garner support for this special effort. To that end, and thanks to your championing of our projects, we have recently brought on board Vincent Merval (featured) as our new administrator. A part of the AMT Live family for four years, Vincent’s sincerity, talent, and wonderful personality are a delight to have on the team. Together we are taking the next steps to be able to secure our very own space in Paris.
We would like to thank you for your contributions this past season. As always, we rely on your donations to make all these things possible. This season alone, the generosity of our donors has helped to provide scholarships for arts training, produce professional musical theatre performances, invite community members and travelers to a monthly open mic soirée along a Parisian péniche, and encourage cultural and linguistic exchange around musical theatre. We have also recently launched a monthly roundtable event to support songwriters in new creation and development of music. Again, we are truly grateful for your support.
Take a look at the photos below! They are the work of ©Christine Coquilleau, our excellent AMT photographer. Included are winners of the annual AMT Live MONA Musical Theatre Awards, presented in July 2017 to Professor Thomas Bulle, Jean-Luc Jelery (Author of Le Musical - Propos Sur Un Art Total), The Staff at Musical Avenue France, and AMT Live members Baptiste Judge and Stanislas Clément. Followed by a shot of Miranda Crispin (Artistic Director, Jonathan Rogez (Open Mic Coordinator and Co-Host), Andrea Offner (President of the Board), and Audience Choice Performance Winners for the 2017-18 Open Mic season, Stéphanie Lambert, Alex Klarth, and Brian Park. Next, is a shot of our members of the 2017 spring Studio AMT Live musical theatre class in rehearsal for their showcase performance: Pauline Servant, Baptiste Soubrié, Claire Butard, Gwenda Guthwasser, Sandra Laville, Tim Path, and Brigitte Labadie with teaching artist Adam Alexander. Our last shot is of the members of the 2016-17 AMT Live Company Andrea Offner, Vinicius Timmerman, Kim Laband, Loaï Abdel Rahman, Jonathan Rogez, Quentin Moriot, Raphaël Sanchez, Tolgay Pekin, Devon Graves, Marion Préïté, Miranda Crispin, Adam Alexander, Vincent Gilliéron, Amélie Foubert, Jeanne Jerosme, and Baptiste Juge.
Thanks so much from all of us at AMT Live and we look forward to seeing you in the fall!
Sincerely,
Andrea Offner, President of the Board of Directors
Miranda Crispin, Artistic Director
