Request for CSR contribution towards 'BRESH Foundation' to empower children with disabilities

Persons with Disabilities constitute one such group who deserve our society’s attention and care.

•  As you are aware, as per the 2011 census, the total population of the persons with disabilities in India is 2.68 Croreswhich is 2.21% of the total population of the country. It Includes persons with Locomotive, Visual, Hearing-Speech and mental disabilities. Out of this group, 75% of Persons with Disabilities live in rural areas, 51% are illiterate and 66% are unemployed.
• B R E S H – Bhadrachalam Agency For Rehabilitation, Rural Development & Educational Society For Handicapped – is a registered Non-Government / Social Service Organization. It is situated in Bhadrachalam, Temple City Of Lord Ram and on the banks of Godavari, one of the largest rivers of India. It is in Khammam District of Telengana State.
• Bhadrachalam and all of 8 Mandals are backward, rural and tribal driven with a low literacy rate. Disability, Sanitation, Malnutrition, Women and Child besides education are the most important issues due to geographical and demographical conditions of the areas. Primitive Tribes are seen still in some parts of the Division.
• B R E S H, the only of its kind (Special Residential School & Vocational and Rehabilitation Centre) in this region was started in 1992. It had a paradigm shift in the Management when New Coherent Group took over the organization in 2013. Today the school has 180 students (70 Mentally Retarded, 92 Hearing Impaired and 15 Orphans).  You may also log on to www.breshschool.org for more details.
• Financial support from the schemes of the Central Government is less and slow, thus affecting the children with disabilities in their normal development level. Due to this, NGOs in India are forced to depend increasingly on Foreign and Private Philanthropy. Moreover since the areas of operations are in rural and tribal, local donors are very limited.
• Children need regular care and the daily minimum necessities like diet, shelter, clothing, health and medical besides other regular needs cannot wait to the schedules of the kind donors / sponsors. Daily Fund Raising to care for the children has become a difficult task and so Corpus Fund is thought of for the long term existence and sustenance of the organization.
• So far the management could run the organization with great support from friends, relatives, near and dear besides local well-wishers. We believe all your philanthropy will transform the lives of millions of children with various disabilities and makes a direct difference to their lives and to the society overall.
• Annual expenditure of our project is as below:

Yearly Expenses
Salaries and Rent : Rs.24,00,000 For 12 Months
Diet, Hostel Maintenance, Medical and Clothing and transport: Rs.36,00,000 For 10 Months
Vocational training: Rs.7,00,000
Total Expenditure: Rs.67,00,000($97K per Annum)
Only very little portion of these expenses are funded through Govt. of India which leaves huge gap, to be raised through donations. 'BRESH foundation' is Established in 2014 as a Non-profit organization in USA to help this institution, who is providing an excellent selfless service.
