On 07/12/2018, Centre Marembo reintegrated 22 children who have been under rehabilitation program and now ready to be reunified with their respective families and reintegration as independent living. Among them, 3 were teen mothers who have been reintegrated with their babies.
In our concept, reintegration is done by reunifying the children with their biological parents or fostering families and independent living where most teen mothers are facilitated to live their life. In fact, we find them job and then rent for them the house for the first 2 months and are provided with basic kits to start up their independent living. This time we had one teen mother independently reintegrated.
The reintegrated children have been provided with reintegration kits. Before then, they have been equipped with adequate training on child rights and parent’s responsabilities, Arts, Agriculture and farming, and sewing.
‘‘We will keep on following up the reintegrated children to make sure they do not drop out their studies and we urge the parents to be accountable to their children by respecting their rights.’’ Highlighted by Nicolette NSABIMANA, Executive Director of Centre Marembo Organisation.
Centre Marembo follow up the reintegrated children especially working with their family to facilitate them in their studies and vocational trainings as well as providing financial supports to enable them to start small businesses.
Centre Marembo extend its gratitude to everyone who has been contributing to the works of helping vulnerable children at the center. Without your tireless effort our achievement would no be realized.
