Progress Report 17 January, 2020
YOUR SUPPORT HAS OPENED THE DOORWAY FROM ISOLATION TO INCLUSION FOR CHILDREN WITH DISABILITIES AND THEIR FAMILIES
The year of 2020 was full of disasters and deprivations for the whole population of Armenia due to COVID-19 and then devastating the war in autumn. Many of our beneficiaries experinced loss of relatives and mourning. With this situation our services became to be a real lifeline for them and their families. We have adapted our services so to approach the feeling of being excluded, forgotten and ignored by our children with disabilities. With the adaptive use of different arts, like drawing, painting, sculpting, sewing, collage-making, writing, music-playing, dancing, and acting children could express their thoughts and feelings and to deal with their strong emotions such as fear of getting sick, fear of losing contact, and loneliness. The project, with the support of our donors, become a real lifeline for our children and their families. Our services did everything to make sure that the children did not suddenly feel forgotten and neglected.
Thanks to our 156 kind-hearted donors, by the end of 2020 8638 USD was raised contributing in social rehabilitation and inclusion of 360 children with disabilities living in Tavush Marz.
