Highlights:
Staring from March 2020 up to date 12,579 USD is raised from 201 donors. The current progress report covers the period 01.01.2022-31.03.2022. Within this period 354.96 USD have been donated by our benevolent benefactors. On behalf of all its beneficiary children and their families, BOH expresses deep gratitude to all of our donors, who continue their contribution to the project aiming at helping 360 children with disabilities to improve their physical, intellectual and emotional skills, to raise their self-esteem and selfconfidence through multiple types of rehabilitation services and leisure.
Summary of progress:
During the reporting period 360 children with disabilities benefited from the services of BOH community-based centers in Dilijan, Ijevan and Berd and Noyemberyan cities of Tavush Marz. The services have covered an incredibly wide range of activities and approaches ranging from very rights-based and radical community initiatives, to rather narrow service delivery of certain aspects of rehabilitation.
Activities:
Life skills club for 105 children from 3-12 age group.
Art Therapy classes (drawing, sculpturing, music and singing) attended by 210 children.
Occupational therapy for 62 children.
Speech development – individual and group for 135 children.
Physical therapy for 140 children.
Outcomes:
360 children have developed their essential social skills helping them to succeed in learning and social interrelations: focus and self-control, perspective-taking, communication, making relations, critical thinking, taking on challenges, self-confidence, engaged learning. 310 children are successfully enrolled at inclusive secondary and VET schools. 50 kids enjoy their early childhood development at kindergartens.
Plan for next reporting period:
We will continue our services to children and our major efforts will be concentrated to the support to educational enhancement of our beneficiaries so to have smooth transition from kindergarten to primary school, from primary school to basic school and from basic school to high school or VET school.
