OVERVIEW: The reporting period from July 2023 to October 30, 2023, has witnessed significant adaptations to our "Enable 360 Children with Disabilities in Armenia" project. This shift is in response to the tragic events linked to the aggression of Azerbaijan against Artsakh on September 19, 2023, which forced families to flee their homes in Nagorno-Karabakh and seek refuge in Armenia. As a result, we have expanded our project to provide comprehensive support to not only 360 children with disabilities but also the broader group of vulnerable children, teenagers, and youth impacted by these events. The situation has compelled Bridge of Hope to broaden our mission to offer assistance and care to these families and children in addition to our primary target of 360 children with disabilities in Tavush Marz.
SUMMARY OF PROGRESS
Rehabilitation Services: We provided physical and psychological therapies, art therapy, life skills training, and sports and leisure activities to 360 children with disabilities in Dilijan, Berd, Noyemberyan, Ijevan, and 24 nearby villages in Tavush Marz.
Inclusive Environment and Social Inclusion: Our inclusive environments promoted belonging and reduced social isolation for children with disabilities, allowing them to actively participate in the community.
Comprehensive Development and Education: By offering therapy, life skills training, and educational support, we helped children with disabilities overcome educational barriers, with many achieving improved learning outcomes.
Empowerment and Self-Esteem: Our project empowered children with disabilities to envision brighter futures, break free from isolation, and positively impact their communities.
THE URGENT NEED FOR SUPPORT
The current situation calls for an even greater commitment to our mission. The expanded scope of our project requires increased resources to ensure that we can reach not only the 360 children with disabilities but also vulnerable children and teenagers from Artsakh. They need our support more than ever, and we are determined to provide it. We invite you to continue supporting our project and be a part of this crucial endeavor. Your contributions play a pivotal role in transforming the lives of these vulnerable children, teenagers, and youth, including those with disabilities, both from the Tavush region and those who have been forced to flee their homes in Nagorno-Karabakh. Your generosity can make a real difference in the lives of these children. Your support matters, and we are committed to using your contributions effectively to provide the critical services, care, and support that are essential for their well-being and progress.
Join us in offering the children from Artsakh a chance at a better tomorrow.
