Your generous donation reach their houses

With your generous support, we were able to move from planned dreams to big achievements for 161 persons with Fatima’s family.

Persons with disabilities therefore are faced with increased difficulties in carrying out their activities of Daily living (ADLS)such Fatima’s story with her family. MWL’s field team was able to track Fatima’s situation with her family and convert their dreams and wishes to a better life. The field team met the family once again and determine exactly their concerns and needs while the implementation processes was as following:

  • Rehabilitation of their shelter including (separated bathrooms, kitchen, painting, maintenance of faucets and latrines- solar power)
  • Purchasing the required furniture (closets- blankets- mattresses- television)
  • Rehabilitation and opening small market for Fatima’s father to secure their sustainable source of income.
  • Purchasing all the requirement clothes during Winter
  • Providing them with 4 wheelchairs
  • Ensuring Fatima's enrollment with remedial class
  • Preparing weekly program for psychosocial support sessions through our protection team

 

 By your genrous donations, we were able to draw a smile on Fatima’s face with her family and they always send regards with thankful words to all the donors.

 

MWL also secured 28 families (155 persons) of the most vulnerable people and children with disabilities in the same areas. MWL’s field team was eager to conduct a comprehensive need assessment to determine the most vulnerable families and provide the main priorities as clarified below:

1-     Purchasing andInstallation the inverters and batteries for lighting and electricity for 14 families

2-     Alleviating the women’s suffering of washing clothes manually by securing washing machines for 11 families

3-     Securing the children with disability with medical equipment such (medical glasses- wheelchairs- Medical earphone(for 6 families to overcome their suffering

4-     In terms of ensuring sustainable income source, the team was eager to secure all the required equipments like (sewing machine and knitting items) for women. Also, many mini-grants for operating supermarket were delivered to four families.

5-     Distributing dignity kits such diapers, blankets and other items
