By Cesario V. Sayre | Project Leader
Dear Friend,
Warm greetings and thank you very much for your generous support to our project assisting families displaced by insurgency. The Philippines has one of the longest running communist insurgency in Asia and this has wrecked havoc to thousands of families. Aside from the communist problem we have also the Muslim extremist in the south and rag tag criminals and extortionists roaming the countrysides causing trouble and mayhem. This reporting period we focused our effort to the promotion of vegetable gardening as a means of improving the nutrient intake and incomes of affected households. The participating families like our approach very much because vegetable growing does not entail much effort and local materials around the house can be utilized. We were able to distribute 350 seed packects comprising ladys fingers, tomato, eggplant, spinach, cucumber and bitter gourd to 75 households during this reporting period.
Hoping for your continuing support.
Very sincerely yours,
Cesario Sayre
