Hi all,
We’re incredibly excited to share some groundbreaking updates with you! Thanks to your support, Education For All Morocco (EFAM) is growing its reach, creating life-changing opportunities for even more girls across Morocco.
Welcoming Girls with Down Syndrome: Centre Malaika Marrakech
For the first time ever, EFAM is expanding its work to support girls with Down syndrome, ensuring that 45 young girls at Centre Malaika Marrakech get access to the education, therapy, and life skills they deserve.
Far too often, children with Down syndrome are left out of traditional education. With EFAM’s funding over the next three years, these girls will benefit from tailored learning programs, specialist therapy, and the tools to build independent futures.
Centre Malaika is a pioneering centre dedicated to empowering children with Down syndrome, and we’re thrilled to be part of their journey.
Opening Doors to Secondary Education: ASJFR Boarding House
We’re also teaming up with Association Pour La Scolarisation De La Jeune Fille Rurale (ASJFR) to support 128 girls from some of the most remote areas of Morocco. These girls now have a safe and supportive boarding house in Marrakech, allowing them to continue their secondary education – an opportunity that would otherwise be out of reach.
By providing a secure place to live and study, we’re not just helping them get an education – we’re giving them the independence, confidence, and support they need to chase their dreams and break the cycle of poverty.
Why This Matters
“This isn’t just about supporting more girls,” says Samira El Hachioui, Managing Director of EFAM. “It’s about redefining what’s possible for young women in Morocco. No matter the challenges they face – whether geographical, economic, or developmental – every girl deserves the chance to learn, grow, and thrive.”
We couldn’t do this without you. Your support is changing lives – and together, we’re making sure that no girl is left behind.
Stay tuned for more updates on these exciting new projects, and thank you again for your continued support.
Team EFAM.
