Dear Solidarity Project Community,
We hope that this update finds you well as we move towards spring time!
We always like to begin our updates with gratitude for you and all your support of our work! You make it possible to live out our mission of supporting Honduran’s in creating their own positive social change. Thank you.
Over the past few months, The Solidarity Project has worked closely with our partner communities to support our community health worker volunteer and community pharmacy program. As you may remember, this program began as a pilot program during the pandemic in response to the needs expressed by our partner communities.
Thanks to your support, over the past three months, we have offered three trainings to our community health worker volunteers. We partnered with the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Honduras for a day long mental health training for all of our community health workers. We worked with The Red Cross to offer didactic on gender equality to our partner communities. Additionally, we are so grateful to Dr. Christina and Nurse Practitioners Francisca and John for offering a virtual training from Seattle on pediatric fever!
Our community health workers have been busy attending to the basic medical needs of their communities and we have been thrilled to see what a difference they are making. Thanks to your support, we are able to ensure they are better equipped with basic medical supplies. Our community pharmacy program continues to be self-sustaining and offers access to essential medications to Hondurans.
We are so proud of the work that we have accomplished together! Thank you so much for your ongoing support!
With gratitude,
The Solidarity Project Team
