We're pleased to share with you that we've secured more medical donations for the clinics on Utila, which just arrived via our shipping partner Navivan. These donations will be dropped off at the clinic this week. As tourism has continued at a steady rate, there has not been a need for additional food distributions.
Other projects in progress include working with donors that have securing and shipping resources for the Fire Department on Utila, as well as establishing a volunteer fire fighters. We expect this to be active during the 4th quarter of 2021.
Additionally, a large amount of the population has just received their 2nd vaccine dose. Utila now has both the AstraZeneca and the Moderna vaccines avaiable at no cost via the Centro de Salud.
Overall, we are happy to NOT have much to share in this update as Utila remains stable in regards to Covid and the overall health and wellbeing of the residents of Utila.
