The third wave of Covid-19 cases is spreading faster in Africa and hitting harder on a continent facing a shortage of vaccines, the World Health Organization (WHO) regional office recenetly warned. The latest wave threatens to be the worst to date in Africa. New restrictions are expected to push more people into poverty, notably street vendors, informal workers which already suffered from previous lock downs and are just resuming activities. Afrilanthropy has been one of the first organization in Mozambique to develop a deliver support in a unique partnership between local churches, grocery stores and private sector. Our model has proven to be successful and been replicated by the local churches. As the world attention is now focused on other issues, it is key to share light on the unfolding drama we are experiencing. So we count on your continued generosity to support our program and enable us to support as many people as possible in Mozambique.
