Since our last report in October 2022, Voice of Women Uganda has continued to support women through counseling, referral, mediation and empowerment of women. This time, more focus has been on supporting economic empowerment of women, raising our voice on behalf women victims and survivors to be able to access justice. Our effort has yielded us a great deal as we so far have two cases in courts of law all arising from violence: one demanding for sharing of marital property; another for divorce due to extreme violence. As the law requires, we cannot prejudice courts’ decision, we are able to make a full report once the court has made the final judgments.
Besides, several other cases were handled in office and others through outreaches as indicated in the pictures here below. We still committed to see that women live free from violence.
To all our generous donors and friends, the management of Voice of Women Uganda would like to thank all of you who have remained committed to supporting our cause by making monthly donations. Kindly share our successes with friends and families.
Thank you GlobalGiving for the continued support.
