Your donations are the reason why we continue to support the blind in northern Syria and help them invest their creativity through their seeing hands.
Mohammed is a blind young man, 27 years old, he lost his sight when he was 8 years old in an accident after a year of treatment, he lost hope of seeing again and his real suffering began.
"I lost my sight and I didn't lose my determination"
Muhammad says, he started going to school, and because he was sighted, his integration with those who did not see since birth was very difficult. Muhammad overcame that and then obtained high school.
Because of his love for writing poetry, he started attending and graduating from the College of Arabic Literature and is now preparing himself for a master's degree.
As for the work of Muhammad, he is very skilled in making straw, and through this work he can unload his energies and make it a source of livelihood.
Muhammad became one of the founders of the Sighted Hands Center (SEMA), which helps the blind to learn some handicrafts in order to secure their livelihood.
"Losing something does not mean not being able to continue living. If God takes something, He will give you things," says Muhammad.
