By Alfred M Aswani | Project Liaison
Greetings from St Martins school and the Kibagare community.
The last few months since the rains started have been good. There are certain parts of the country though where rains have not been very consistent. The expected harvest will not be that good.
For the community here in Kibagare, with little and no farming land. The food situation is still not very good. The most affected are families with no means to provide for themselves due to limited available opportunities and the harsh economic environment due to high inflation.
We have continued helping the families we have identified as very needy through the support of the community liaison person and through our continued community engagements and interventions.
27 more households were provided with food baskets from the funds we received. The baskets have enough food to last a family of 6 for two weeks. We will continue to support the community here. We count on your continued support to help us achieve our set objectives and help the families in need within this community.
We are also collecting data on the needs of this community to enable us to get credible information that will help come up with solutions that will be beneficial and sustainable for the people living within the Kibagare slum.
We appreciate the support received to date and will be sure to update you all on our progress.
Thank you,
Alfred Aswan.
