At Wellness for Greatness Kenya, we appreciate every generous donation received for the ‘Adopt a School Healthy Kids Initiative Kenya’ GlobalGiving campaign.
Our focus on preventing and managing noncommunicable diseases (NCDs), which include: Diabetes, Cancer, Cardiovascular Diseases, and Chronic Respiratory Diseases. Our projects advocate for the consumption of healthy foods, promoting physical activity, and advancing NCD health literacy, especially in school environments.
In April and May, we conducted 1 Train the Trainer academy and 2 Teacher Training sessions, benefiting 80 teachers from 25 schools across Nairobi, Machakos, Kajiado, and Kiambu Counties. As a result, over 1000 learners in our schools will now have access to improved Quality Physical Education (PE). Stay tuned for further updates as we continue to expand our reach in the coming months.
Campaign Status
Since we started the campaign, we have managed to raise $2470 of the $50,000 target.
We are doing a digital awareness campaign to bring us closer to our goal.
