Health centres across the globe are still recovering from the wrath of the COVID-19 pandemic. The health centre in Terrat is no exception.
Since our last report, we have continued to support the sharing of up-to-date, reliable health information to Maasai communities via the local radio station, through setting up community health programmes with the local radio station. However, resources are still limited and fundraising progress continues to be slow.
We have seen significant progress in Tanzania in relation to COVID-19, due to a significant proportion of the population now being vaccinated and case numbers dropping considerably. However, the health centre has been negatively impacted by the pandemic, and is in serious need of financial support for resources. As well as continuing the sharing of vital health information throughout the Simanjiro district, your donations will help provide vital healthcare equipment for the centre. This centre provides vital healthcare for over >20,000 people in the surrounding area.
The support of healthcare during these challenging times is as significant as ever, and your donations will make a huge difference to the lives of communities in Simanjiro.
As ever, sharing this project report on your social media channels and within your personal network will be hugely beneficial. We hope to update you on our progress in the next quarter.
All the best,
Iona
