Diligently Moving Forward

By Kim Shields | Community Investment & Communications Specialist

Dear Friend,

We are grateful for our partnership with GlobalGiving which has allowed us to share our rural community story to a global audience. The Tribune Building Project seeks to empower community residents to create a hub of inclusive economic growth for our community and provides much needed hope in an environment of economic loss. Every dollar contributed is important, and as a contributor to this campaign, you play a critical role in advocating for community-led decision-making to achieve competitive and sustainable growth. We are determined to continue the journey to make this project a reality, and we thank you for your ongoing support as we continue advancing, refining, and advocating for everything the Tribune stands for.

Tribune Building Project updates:

  • Partner and prospective partner conversations continue with additional opportunities being explored.
  • Additional funding sources continue to be actively pursued and will be shared when confirmation is received.

The Tribune Building Project has always been about more than the building. It is an opportunity and a journey for the people of this community to have a voice in creating a community that works well for all. We are so pleased to see the progress of ideas initiated at the Tribune public meetings continue to materialize in our community. This allows us to focus the Tribune Building Project on the areas of greatest impact that will complement and expand on the ideas discussed at the Tribune public meetings.

Some of the great ideas already put to action include:

    • Makerspace at McMillan Memorial Library.
    • Culinary kitchen training opportunities through the Boys & Girls Club/YMCA and MSTC.
    • Home brewing club and collaborative opportunities, including 2 Doors Down Brewing Company which employs several members of the brewing club.
    • Meeting and training spaces in our community.
    • Arts and cultural classes offered in our community.
    • Outdoor performance space at the Central Wisconsin Cultural Center.
    • Farmer’s market located along the riverfront near the Tribune, and a Winter’s farmer’s market held in a downtown space.

In the face of challenging times, combined philanthropic efforts from businesses, nonprofit organizations, churches, schools, and residents make our community stronger, and your support is vital to help our community realize the Tribune project.

Thank you for continuing to be a part of this good work. We appreciate your joining us in sharing the importance of our resident’s voices and sharing our Tribune GlobalGiving page with friends, family, and fellow community members.

With much gratitude,

Kristopher Gasch, Incourage Board Chair
