Typhoon Ursula Relief and Recovery Initiative

Dear Friend,

Greetings and thank you very much for your generous support to our project helping those affected by Typhoon Ursula. We are on the path of typhoons which they say are getting more and more stronger due to fast changing climate and the warming of out planet. We are hunkering down to providing long-term support to those affected by the typhoon via our signature vegetable gardening initiative and during this reporting period we are able to provide vegetable seedlings to 135 families. Thanks also to local help which we receive. We will continue with this tack as we continue supporting those that are in really dire circumstance. Again thank you so much and hoping for your continuing generosity.

Dear Friend,

Warm greetings and thank you very much for your generosity in supporting our project providing relief and recovery for very poor families affected by Typhoon Ursula. The problem of those affected takes on a double whammy as they are now facing also the difficult situation caused by the Coronavirus pandemic. The frequent lock-downs in affected villages added to the problem of the disruption of the food supply chain has caused a lot of misery as local farmers are unable to sell their produce and the purchase of farming inputs become prohibitive. This reporting period we are transitioning to long-term support via the expansion of our farming promotion and vegetable gardening activites. We are focusing on short gestating crops and animals wherein villagers can have immediate food in as little as a month's time. With this approach we were able to distribute vegetable seeds and organic fertilizer to 230 families in 3 villages. We will soon launch what we call Zero Hunger Campaign by enlisting the assistance of local governments for this initiative and then advocating this in social media so that other organizations may follow.
