Project Report | Sep 22, 2021
The 1st anniversary of the launch of this project!

By Natalie Blinder | Founder

Thank you on behalf of our little beneficiaries!
Thank you on behalf of our little beneficiaries!

Dear Friends!

As we observe the 1st anniversary of the launch of our Helping Ukrainian Children with Disabilities project, we want to share with you a short summation of the impact the project has made with your donations. And it's great news!

Every day the Bright Kids team receives requests for help from parents of children with disabilities, primarily for children living with cerebral palsy. These parents have been knocking on every door in an attempt to find help to ease their children’s suffering. Unfortunately, the Ukrainian government does not provide adequate assistance for these children, and parents are forced to find support elsewhere.

We're proud to report that so far, with your help, Bright Kids have paid for rehabilitation courses for 16 children (8,400 hryvnias per treatment), totalling 134,400 hryvnias (about US$5,038). This has been made possible because of you!

In July, four children with cerebral palsy received life-changing treatments thanks to your generosity:

5-y.o. Karina from Kharkiv Oblast’

6-y.o. Veronika from Zhytomyr Oblast’

6-y.o. Mariia from Kharkiv

8-y.o. Olga from Kharkiv Oblast’

This is what some of the parents had to say about your generosity:

Karina's mother, Vera B., wrote:

‘Many thanks to Bright Kids Charity for the help you are providing to my child, who needs constant physical rehabilitation and healthcare. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for understanding our situation and extending a helping hand to us. You are doing such important and noble work, helping people who need it very much.’

Sasha L.'s mother, Natalia, wrote:

‘Many thanks to the Bright Kids Charity team for their support and assistance in the rehabilitation treatment for my son Sasha at the Hippo Center. With your help, we can move forward, and Sasha has a chance for a healthy childhood. All the best to you, all the best!’

Ihor Kh.'s mother, Irina, wrote:

‘We thank the Bright Kids team for your support and help for our little son to undergo a rehabilitation course! From the bottom of my heart!!! Ihor went home with good results and new skills! There are many new sounds and ways to communicate he's learned! Your concern is precious to us. Without you, we would not have coped!’

Alexandra S.' mother, Svetlana, wrote:

‘Hello! My name is Svetlana, and I am the mother of Alexandra S., born in 2012, a child with disabilities (cerebral palsy, symptomatic epilepsy).

I am very glad to have found out about your wonderful organization and turned to you for help.

I want to express my gratitude to you for your responsiveness and constant participation in the fate of my daughter, Sasha. Your support in paying for rehabilitation courses and purchasing diapers for her has become essential for our family.

With all our hearts, we wish you all the best. Health and prosperity in such a noble good work that you are doing! Low bow to you!’

There are close to tens of thousands of children living with disabilities in Ukraine. They require additional government support services, which, sadly, have not been provided. Many families of children with disabilities cannot afford the costly treatments that are regularly required. That is why Bright Kids is committed to continuing this project to help children with disabilities live in better health with less pain.

We can't do it without your help, so we ask you to please consider supporting this project again! Even a small donation goes a long way and makes a massive difference in a child’s life! From diapers to massage therapies, your donations help ease the physical suffering of a child living with a disability.

On behalf of the many children who have benefited from this project and their families, we wish to thank you for your generous support!

Every life matters. Your help counts.

Warm regards,

Natalie Blinder
