Amir, pictured here in green watching Alma make a catch during a competition, is a third-year Leader in Training (LIT) from Or Yehuda in Israel. Each year, two third year LITs accompany the second year LITs on their North American Friendship Tour, and Amir was one of those chosen to do so. This year’s tour visited Seattle and Vancouver. On the tour, the LITs visited numerous schools, temples, and mosques and presented information about Ultimate Peace to a variety of audiences. They also had an opportunity to compete in local Ultimate tournaments.
One of the presentation formats is “Ted Talks”. In these talks, LITs speak for approximately 10 minutes about how Ultimate Peace and the LIT program have impacted their lives and shaped their thinking. In this beautiful presentation, Amir explains the major impact that Ultimate Peace has had on him, and how it has influenced a key decision in every Jewish Israeli teenager’s life – the decision about service in the Army.
Thanks to Amir for sharing his presentation with people in the US and Canada! He clearly demonstrates the power of our LIT program to shape peoples’ lives. The LIT program would not be possible without the generous support of our donors, who provide the support we need to run the year-round and LIT programs.
Camp is only a few short weeks away, and everyone is getting excited to renew friendships and build new ones. Our next report will give an update on camp.
