El pasado jueves 18 de julio de 2019 celebramos con mucho orgullo la graduación de la promoción XIX de la Escuela Jenaro Aguirre Elorriaga, compuesta por 33 estudiantes (42% mujeres y 58% hombres, entre los 11 y 14 años) quienes culminaron la etapa de educación básica con una celebración muy sentida donde recibieron un merecido diploma y una medalla de parte de las autoridades de la escuela y la directiva de la Fundación Madre María Luisa Casar. Ambas condecoraciones son un símbolo de gran trascendencia en su futuro como venezolanos.
Queremos compartir con nuestra gran familia de colaboradores y voluntarios, datos resaltantes sobre esta promoción, y que nos muestran la influencia de nuestra formación en sus vidas, en la comunidad del Barrio 24 de Marzo y en la sociedad venezolana:
- La mayoría de los estudiantes se formó desde 1er nivel y por ello fueron condecorados con un Diploma Junior, el resto de fue incorporando progresivamente desde 3er nivel y hasta 5to grado.
- Las actividades extracurriculares preferidas fueron coro y teatro y parte de ellos se beneficiaron con más de una actividad, pintura, danza y música, asegurando su integralidad.
- En el área de nutrición y salud, el 36% de los egresados presentó problemas nutricionales durante su trayectoria en la escuela, los cuales fueron atendidos con tratamientos específicos. A la fecha actual, el 24% se logró recuperar satisfactoriamente y un 12% restante continua en tratamiento.
- Estimamos que, el grupo completo recibió 45.750 almuerzos en la escuela y fueron atendidos en el dispensario médico unas 859 veces, durante la permanencia en el Jenaro.
Ellos y nosotros, estamos más que agradecidos con cada uno de nuestros benefactores porque su aporte y su cariño han sido indispensables para celebrar este día conscientes y preparados para una etapa más exigente.
La buena noticia es que gracias a la gestión de la Fundación Madre Ma. Luisa Casar, el 100% de los estudiantes continuará su bachillerato, con la fiel intención de ser profesionales y agentes de cambio social. Sueñan y tienen la firme convicción de que serán médicos, ingenieros, abogados, deportistas profesionales, fotógrafos, veterinarios y maestros venezolanos
Enseñanza, hogar, respeto, tolerancia, compañerismo, responsabilidad, valores, trabajo en equipo, fueron algunas de las palabras que emplearon para describir lo que significa para ellos el Jenaro Aguirre Elorriaga. Su alma mater.

Last Thursday, July 18th 2019, we proudly celebrated the graduation of the XIX Promotion of the Jenaro Aguirre Elorriaga School, comprised of 33 students (42% girls and 58% boys, between 11 and 14 years of age). The students ended this final stage of basic education with an emotional ceremony, where they received their well deserved diploma and medal from the School authorities and the Board of Directors of Fundación Madre Maria Luisa Casar. Both of these awards are symbols of great importance in regards to their future as Venezuelan citizens.
We would like to share with our great family of supporters and volunteers these remarkable facts about this promotion, which are proof of the influence our education has had on their lives, on the community of Barrio 24 de Marzo as well as the Venezuelan society:
- Most of the students joined the school from the 1st level and for that they were awarded the Junior Diploma. The rest of the students progressively joined from 3rd level and up to 5th Grade.
- The students’ favorite extracurricular activities are choir and theater and most of them participate in more than one activity, such as painting, dance and music, thus ensuring a comprehensive experience.
- Regarding health and nutrition, 36% of the graduating class presented nutrition problems during their time at the school, which were duly addressed with specialized treatment. At the current date, 24% of the students were able to recover successfully and the remaining 12% continue in treatment.
- As per our estimates, the class was served 45.570 meals at the school and had 859 doctor’s appointments, during their time at Jenaro.
We and the students are more than thankful to each and every one of our benefactors, because their care and support were essential in order for the students to celebrate this milestone, aware and prepared for a more challenging stage in their lives.
The good news is that thanks to the efforts of the Madre Maria Luisa Casar Foundation, 100% of the students will continue on to High School, with the true desire of becoming professionals and agents of social change. They dream and have the firm conviction that they will become doctors, engineers, lawyers, professional athletes, veterinarians, photographers and teachers in Venezuela.
When asked to describe what Jenaro Aguirre Elorriaga, their alma mater means to them, the students used the following words: Education, home, respect, tolerance, companionship, responsibility, values and teamwork.
