WAFA GlobalGiving Report Feb 2023
Since 2008, WAFA Awards has been committed to the UN Global Compact corporate responsibility initiative and its principles of clean water, no hunger, sustainability, and the environment. WAFA supports 9 UN Sustainable Development Goals.
WAFA searches and finds ‘silent heroes’/sustainability pioneers worldwide, or they found us. We encourage everyone to nominate their favorite projects!
The next WAFA Awards will be celebrated on April 27, 2023. The selection process is in full swing: after evaluating all 152 applications, from 52 countries, 14 silent heroes have been short-listed. From this short-list, an independent jury has nominated three or four finalists in each category: Water, Air, Food and Youth Climate. The finalists will now be introduced to public voting where everyone can participate. The public voting is scheduled to start on March 16 and will decide who wins the WAFA Awards 2023.
With your donations, we can select the winners, give them exposure, and promote them on social media. This helps them attract resources to expand and replicate their projects to other communities with similar challenges: access to clean water, clean air and nutritious food in a healthy climate.
