Thanks to all our donors we have now made the second disbursement for the purchase of a critically important area for the conservation of water in the Jaguar Corridor. With this achievement we have also been able to mobilize the support of IUCN Netherlands and multiply the help we have received from each of our contributors.
As a result, we can continue reforesting and restoring new areas for jaguars to find water and pray. Thanks to our latest project “Sister greenhouses” we will plant 10.000 native trees that will help our Tropical Dry Forest to continue offering its ecosystem services for the local fauna. Since It is important to understand that protection of jaguar must include the protection and enrichment of his habitat, we are also involving local farmer and Chimila indigenous population.
For us is very important to understand our territory in a complex and comprehensive way, and this is why we are also working with Kogui indigenous community for the spiritual recovering of the area under our care, and we are convinced that under their guidance the material results will be satisfying and will strengthen the natural and perfectly balanced order of the territory.
