The Winter Clothing Support for Children in Syria project aims to provide basic winter clothing to 5,000 vulnerable children, particularly in displaced camps. With temperatures dropping below zero, these children are at risk of cold-related illnesses. The project will provide sets of wool scarves, beanies and gloves, lined raincoats, shoes and ultimately promote a sense of dignity and resilience to ensure warmth and reduce health risks. The cost of each kit is 20 dollars.
The ongoing conflict and harsh winter conditions in Syria have left many children, particularly in displaced camps, without adequate winter clothing. As temperatures drop to freezing temperatures, these children are at risk of serious cold-related illnesses that could further worsen their already fragile health and living conditions.
We will provide basic warmth to 5000 children living in camps and affected areas by distributing winter clothes, ensuring they are protected from cold-related health risks. This intervention will also contribute to their overall comfort and stability during the harsh winter months, allowing them to focus on education and trauma recovery.
This project will not only protect children during the winter but also contribute to their long-term resilience. By safeguarding their health and comfort, we empower them to pursue education and community reintegration. The provision of winter clothing will also foster hope and a sense of dignity for families struggling in crisis situations.
