Thanks to your generosity, Global Water Challenge and women for water are supporting Global Grassroots’ water venture – Bright Future.
Bright Future is working to increase access to safe and clean water for 750 families – approximately 3,000 people – while reducing gender-based violence and increasing the economic and emotional wellbeing of women and girls.
So far, Bright Future has reached 536 families with clean water access and is conducting informal trainings on water treatment and good hygiene practices at community water taps. They are also organizing trainings on gender equity and family planning in compliance with the village's COVID regulations.
In the coming months, Bright Future will be installing handwashing stations near the water sites and providing free hand soap to those in need.
Again, thank you for your continued support! Because of you, we are able to provide clean water, soap and trainings to Rwandans who need it most.
Follow women for water’s journey to empower women and girls across 10,000 communities with access to WASH and life skills programs by 2030 on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook! You can also see Global Grassroots’ impact here.
