Dear Friend,
Warm greetings and thank you very much for your generous support to our project training the youth to be eco-leaders. This training is very important given the loss of biodiversity in our place and the need to empower the youth as promoters and guardians and also in order to secure their future and generations after them. This reporting period, with the generous help of local supporters we are able to conduct a farm diversification training for 73 youths with focus on how to expand their production given the small farm land they have. Farms owned or cultivated by farmers in our place is getting to be less and less because of population pressure so there is a need to use what little farm is available to increase income meanwhile making sure that the soil is not depleted and that biodiversity is maintained. We promote the stragegy called perma-culture or mixing of plants and animals in a single system.
