Youth and women are a majority of the population but underrepresented in elections and democratic governance that dampen development outcomes despite resilient government and NGO sector efforts in Cameroon. This context calls for more mutual support for 2000 vulnerable youth and women in each of the 10 regions of Cameroon to participate in elections and therefore, advance inclusive democratic practices that will also deliver greater development outcomes which the current project will assist.
Youth & Women in Elections for Democratic Cameroon project we have decided to put it on hold as we continue with some reseach
The expected long term impact after improved participation of the vulnerable youth and women in elections in 2025 is greater representation of the vulnerable masses and advocacy and policy frameworks for mass involvement of the vulnerable mass groups in governance processes that drive development to deliver inclusive sustainable outcomes in Cameroon.
