Scholarships for youth in/aging out of foster care

Comfort Cases is so pleased to share that your dollars have been put to great use, improving the lives of two individuals who grew up in foster care. Thank you again for giving to the Comfort Cases Scholarship program!

This Saturday, at our Backyard BBQ Gala and 10th Anniversary Celebration, two scholarships were awarded:

1. Parker is a freshman attending Arizona State University who is pursuing a career in creative writing. She wants to use her talents to share stories, help others, and shed light on important social issues. In high school, she was part of the Gender and Sexuality Alliance (GSA), the school broadcast center, the yearbook, and the art club. Outside of school, she was part of the program, First Star Academy, which helped children in the foster system prepare for college or independent living.

2. Ashley is a student at East Stroudsburg University who is pursuing studies in psychology and guidance counseling. She is an active member of the ESU Christian Fellowship and she volunteers with the kindness project. She is also part of the "Fostering Warriors Program" connecting, guiding, and building relationships with other foster students.

It is always so heartwarming to see the deep appreciation on their faces when they receive the scholarship. It is inspiring and gives thousands of other young people in foster care to realize the possibility of a life fulfilled.

Thank you for taking part in Comfort Cases' life-changing scholarship program and for continuing to support young people growing up in foster care.
