By offering experiences that link the worlds of art, culture and education to our YWOW we promote creativity, critical thinking and problem-solving skills. It is a joy to be able to share some of these activities with you, our faithful supporters of the YWOW Program!!
“Baking is an art and a science” Sherry Yard
Our YWOW young ladies showed their creative flare as they explored the science of art and baking for their Grade 11 Consumer Studies practical’s. We look forward to seeing several YWOW using this skill both at home and in business in the future.
“Every artist was first an amateur” Ralph Waldo Emerson
A delegation of our YWOW art pupils toured Cape Towns art galleries and exhibitions over the half term break....from the Irma Stern Museum to the Norval Foundation!! We look forward to seeing how this inspiration is adapted in our young YWOW masterpieces.!!
"To thine self be True"
Our YWOW learners celebrated Shakespeare Day in true Elizabethan style. From period costumes to fierce slam poetry battles and brain–busting quizzes, our YWOW teams brought the Bard’s legacy to life!!
“Bravo”
Our young, talented YWOW musicians delivered unforgettable performances that left us with goosebumps and had the applause echoing throughout the chapel. It was a spectacular evening celebrating the musical gifts of our YWOW musicians.
Please see all the relvant pictures with this report. None of this would be possible with your gifts...thank you again and again.
