From successfully distributing 15 goats to deserving families, regrettably, we encountered some challenges along the way. One of the goats unfortunately passed away and another experienced a miscarriage. However, I am pleased to report that the ailing goat has since recovered and is now in good health.
One of the project’s beneficiaries, who is visually impaired and a father to 11 children, expressed his gratitude. He believes that his wife’s involvement in the goat-rearing program renewed hope in their family and he thanks God for this opportunity that his family has hope for financial growth
Furthermore, four of the goats in our program have successfully given birth and we currently have five pregnant goats, in just six months, these expectant goats will bring new life into the project expanding our impact, and is a testament to the project's sustainability.
The project had had transformative effect on the women involved, empowering them to envision a brighter future beyond their current circumstances. They are now beginning to make plans for a better life for themselves and their families.
Kirabo, the women leader, is a driving force behind the goat’s project, providing a central hub for the project’s meet-ups and gatherings. She is a single mother and her unwavering determination to see her community thrive is truly remarkable
As a supervisor of our Goats project, Kirabo diligently monitors the well-being of the goats and ensures that they are in good health and properly cared for by the women. She maintains regular contact with the women who are responsible for rearing the goats. Offering them guidance and support in the project
The project has enabled our women to dream through their current circumstances. It has empowered them to think beyond their immediate challenges of having one meal a day, having to walk a long distance to get drinking water, and many other rural challenges. This project is not just about the goats but about nurturing the dreams and aspirations of women. it has also fostered a sense of community, resilience, and empowerment among them. We are deeply grateful for the dedication of the Balawoli women the support of the community and the collaborative effort involved
