Social Work Orientation
Social Work Orientation

We've helped so far 9 men and 88 women living in Tijuana, Tecate, Mexicali, San Quintín and Rosarito in Baja California and from Sonora, who came to Tijuana or Mexicali to receive their treatment.

We have provided 161 services, including:

  • Oncology consultation
  • Specialist consultation to identify the patient's rank in the International Emergency Code for medical care
  • Nutritional advice
  • Advocacy and training on patients' rights and the Official Mexican Standard for Breast and Prostate Cancer
  • Social Work counseling
  • Hospital navigation
  • Breast prosthesis
  • Turbans
  • Personal Protection Equipment (face shield, mask and antibacterial gel)
  • Reporting the cases of patients who stopped receiving or did not get their meds and successfully achieve that 90% of patients received their treatment almost immediately
  • And lots of love and accompaniment to patient appointments

We still have work to do, cancer patients still need our help, whether it is to empower themselves regarding their health rights, to obtain advice on procedures, to feel calm and safe when receiving their treatment or going to consultation or to receive their medications.

Thank you for allowing us to continue our work to help cancer patients!
