Dear Supporters,
Our newest staff member, Ingrid Obando, coordinator of the Community Service Program, has some fantastic ideas for 2023. She would like Fundación A Jean Brugger to begin giving workshops for adults in the community on topics such as financial education for small business owners. FAJB currently has three deaf scholarship holders, and Ingrid would also like to provide sign language classes so all of our scholarship students can converse with the deaf students to create a more inclusive environment.
Last year we used the patio for a workshop for high school seniors where they learned about career possibilities and took a vocational test to help them decide what they wanted to study in university. We have a tent for protection from sun and rain, but it’s not big enough for all who want to attend our workshops.
The construction of a meeting room will help us expand our programming and improve our ability to serve the San Juan del Sur community.
