Dear Supporters,
This Quarter the GVI Trust was able to continue to sponsor the salaries of GVI’s two Lao interns. These two individuals have made incredible progress in their teaching, lesson planning and communication skills over the last quarter through their dedication to their program.
This quarter the GVI trust contributed directly towards UNSDG4: Quality education, increasing the number of qualified and trained teachers in Laos by providing the salary of two local interns, who are training in TEFL style English teaching, lesson planning and other skills development. Our interns both got the opportunity to deliver a presentation about Hmong New Year and their native culture to the volunteers of GVI. The presentation was well constructed and expertly delivered to an international audience.
The GVI Trust has also contributed in working towards UNSDG5: Gender Equality, by providing the salary of our female NSP, Miss Chai, who has spent several months building skills in English, teaching, computer competency, French and presentation delivery. These are all incredibly marketable skills, and will hopefully help her to seek gainful employment in the future.
Thank you for your continued contribution and commitment to the GVI Trust Program in Laos. We look forward to working together to continue to provide these opportunities in Laos in the next quarter.
With Gratitude,
GVI Capacity Building
