Dear Supporters,
This has been a very exciting quarter, as the first quarter for our Capacity building for local Teachers in Laos fund. We were able to raise nearly 500 GBP towards the salary of a local Lao intern.
The GVI trust contributed directly towards UNSDG4: Quality education, increasing the number of qualified and trained teachers in Laos by providing the salary of a local intern, who is training in TEFL style English teaching, lesson planning and other skills development.
The GVI Trust has also contributed in working towards UNSDG5: Gender Equality, by providing the salary of our female NSP, who has spent several months building skills in English, teaching, computer competency, translation, and more. These are all incredibly marketable skills, and will hopefully help her to seek gainful employment in the future.
Thank you for your continued contribution and commitment to the GVI Trust Program in Laos. We look forward to working together to continue to provide these opportunities in Laos in the next quarter.
