Greeting from the village in garbage in Tondo(3rd)

By Youngmi Kim | Project Manager

Hello, Supporters

It’s U Nine Change.

We visited Tondo village in Philippines on our last overseas business trip.

When we get to Tondo Village,

The first thing to meet is the stench.

All the trash in the Philippines gathers in Tondo Village.

And the most common thing you see in Tondo is people looking for scrap metal in the garbage dumps. The children living in garbage villages also work. This is because their families make a living with the money they sell scrap metal.

Also, You can see restaurants that sell pagpag made from food waste. the poor don't have food to replace it, so two or three times a week eat it. children are being exposed to the risk of typhoid, diarrhea, and cholera.

U Nine Change has given nutritional supplements, cold medicines, and anthelmintics to children. we hope that children can live healthier lives.

We ask for your support and attention so that we can provide continuous help to children.
