Estimated Sponsors,
We are reaching the end of the year 2021 and it is time to make some changes in our work in order to keep improving. During the past two months, we have been working on providing the communities a water well for our food sovereignty project and the well-being of the community. searching for the next big step for our project. In our last report we told our sponsors about partnering with Colombia's national technical education institution SENA, we have been coordinating the population who will be part of the classes. We plan to focus on the entrepreneurship of the Wayuu Mochila. We hope more women can learn who to project their culture in a way they can produce income for their families. In addition to this we are keeping the labor of producing mochilas and providing the material and proper training to make them. In December we will travel to finally legalize the classes SENA will offer to the members of 4 different communities we are currently working with. Furthermore, we prepared for the next two months some online classes to begin working on dividing the mochila making process. Dividing the process will provide the community a sense of responsibility and group work, in addition to accelerating the process. The objective for next year is to participate with the communities in “EXPOARTESANIAS” which is a fair in Bogotá about handicrafts.
We truly thank the donors who are interested in and support our project even in difficult times, and Share Sarangbat and our communities pray for you and your family to keep healthy.
